Initially struggles to make transition from Ferrari to Honda machinery and is outperformed by team mate Jenson Button. Fourth places in Monaco and Hungary his best results en route to seventh in drivers' championship.

Second place at season opener in Melbourne strongest result of year, as Ferrari struggle for pace. Scores on seven more occasions, but can only finish eighth in standings, worst placing since joining Ferrari. Announces move to Honda for 2006.

Goes to Ferrari as second driver, replacing Eddie Irvine. Manages an emotional - and popular - win at the German Grand Prix. Finishes the season fourth in the drivers' championship with 62 points.
